The tone of the album manages to contrast both the heavy with the melancholy perfectly. Emotional vocals by Robert Lelièvre (who also wrote all the songs, except \"If\") lend the tunes a somewhat dark, moody feel. His distinctive vocals (sung mostly in English, with two songs sung in his native French) range from the angry and frustrated to yearnful and contemplative.
