Recorded in 1964, this seminal band fused Blues, Rock, and Country influences into a joyous celebration of music and song. The Rising Sons mark the debut recordings for both Taj Mahal and Ry Cooder, along with Gary Marker, Jesse Lee Kincaid and Ed Cassidy on drums, while produced by Terry Melcher of Byrds fame. The music on the album is a unique blend of brawny swamp blues, loose folk arrangements, and Beatles-esque pop sensibilities. If you are interested in hearing where legendary jam acts such as The Grateful Dead and The Allman Brothers Band drew their inspirations from, look no further.

219.95 dkr

Tracklist

Vinyl:1
1 Statesboro Blues
2 If The River Was Whiskey (Divin' Duck Blues)
3 By And By (Poor Me)
4 Candy Man
5 2:10 Train
6 Let The Good Times Roll
7 44 Blues
8 11th Street Overcrossing
9 Corrin, Corrina
10 Tulsa County
11 Walkin' Down The Line

Vinyl: 2
1 The Girl With Green Eyes
2 Sunny's Dream
3 Spanish Lace Blues
4 The Devil's Got My Woman
5 Take A Giant Step
6 Flyin' So High
7 Dust My Broom
8 Last Fair Deal Gone Down
9 Baby, What You Want Me To Do?
10 Statesboro Blues Version 2
11 I Got A Little
