Evans' old employer Ry Cooder swings by this time to contribute his distinctive guitar to three tracks. Since Theessink's sound has typically shared a comparable sense of the organic spaciousness that characterizes much of Cooder's work, the resulting music is a terrific meeting of the minds. It's so good on Theessink's subtle "Shelter from the Storm" (not the Dylan tune), especially with a male backing trio of vocalists (also inspired by Cooder's work), that you wish the two would record an entire album together.

Tracklist

Delta Time 3:25
Blues Stay Away From Me 4:35
It Hurts Me Too 3:29
How Come People Act Like That 2:56
The Birds And The Bees 2:44
Shelter From The Storm 5:45
Build Myself A Home 2:49
Down In Mississippi 8:55
I Need Money 3:03
Heaven's Airplane 2:07
Pouring Water On A Drowning Man 4:41
