Challe managed to be on the cutting edge of youth fashions across the 1960s and 1970s, reappearing in the late '90s with even greater appeal. His CV boasts that he is an international DJ, fashion and nightlife entrepreneur, and new age guru -- all of which is, more or less, true. Yet a large part of his reputation comes from his association with celebrities (via his nightclubs) and his reputation as a ladies man non pariel. This and the fact he's long been recognized as Paris's premier club DJ. Of Tunisian descent, Challe's father was a rabbi who shifted the family to Paris when Challe was three. He claims that those early years -- the mix of Arabic sounds, Jewish mysticism and French culture -- shaped his destiny. He has since spent his life pursuing his ideals, working under the motto, "too much is never enough." www.buddhabar.com/

Tracklist.

LP 1

Frederick Rousseau - La Fille De P?kin

Tibet Project - Tibet (A Passage To...)

Jade Or - Opium

Nitin Sawhney - Moonrise

Nash Didan - A Window Of My Dreams

Agricantus - Amatevi

LP 2

Manuel Franjo - Tiempo

Guadalupe Pineda Con Los Tres Ases - Historia De Un Amor

Armen Chakmakian - Distant Lands

Nickodemus - Desert Dancer (Zebs's Slow Camel Ride Remix)

Flam - Monsoon

LP3

Tulku - Rahda Ramana

Natassa Theodoridou - Tora To Thimiithikes

Gotan Project - Una Musica Brutal

Outsized - Karma (Extended Mix)

Time Passing - Party People

Panjabi Mc - Mundian T'o Bach Ke

LP 4

Ishtar - Comme Toi

Chris Spheeris - Dancing With The Muse

David Visan & Carlos Campos - Irish Coffee

Llorca - The Novel Sound

Loving Paris - Loco

LP 5

Roland Louis - Percussion's Rhythm (Dimitri From Paris Re-edit)

Dan Lacksman's Alliance - Louxor In Las Vegas

Angie Samiou - Agoraki Mou

Celia Cruz - Yo Vivire (I Will Survive)

Usual Masters - Nocturne In Paris

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0067/2072/products/various_artists_buddha_bar_iv_5lp_front.jpg?v=1571438779
