Sleep - Hempispheres

NEW VINYL LP ON THIRD MAN RECORDS 2026

180 GRAM VINYL LP (Pre-order now, out 30-10-26)

Indies Exclusive Opaque Purple Vinyl edition.

The Opaque Purple vinyl edition of the Hemispheres LP by Sleep is being released on Third Man and presents the band’s new version of the album as a bold statement on vinyl. On this Third Man release, Sleep present Hemispheres as a redefined lineup: Al Cisneros remains at the center, joined by Dale Crover on drums and Bubba Dupree on guitar. Third Man issues the LP in this special Opaque Purple pressing, which makes the visual presence of the release as distinctive as the music itself.

Musically, Hemispheres documents the continuation of Sleep’s characteristic heaviness while at the same time offering fresh momentum through the new guitar-and-drum chemistry; selected singles such as “Have Spacesuit Will Travel” and “Arrival of the Industry Ships” provide a concrete preview of the album’s sonic direction. The recordings were made with longtime engineer Toshi Kasai, whose involvement is reflected in the dense production and clear sonics. Together with Sleep, Third Man delivers an LP that both emphasizes the band’s identity and makes the changed lineup clearly audible, positioning Hemispheres as a significant chapter in Sleep’s discography.
